Chanel Inc. was the first to recognize Peter
Glebo's unique sense of visual artistry when they hired him in the
art department as the assistant to the head of visual imagery. Mr.
Glebo's sense of design and artistic composition was partially
shaped during those two years helping design the images that Chanel
used and working with the creative inspiration of the likes of Karl
Lagerfeld and Gilles Defour.
When Tommy Tune hired Peter as his
personal assistant, one of his reasons was to tap this creative
potential and many of Mr. Glebo's artistic and theatrical ideas were
incorporated into Mr. Tune's productions. Eventually this
collaboration grew to include painting which they both share a
passion for and photography, with Mr. Glebo having a uniquely
privileged access to Mr. Tune's daily life. The results of this
mutually inspiring collaboration were recognized this year in a
joint art exhibit at New York's prestigious National Arts Club in
Gramercy Park. The show was entitled "Seascapes and Sealegs".
Earlier this year, Peter had a solo show at the Tribeca art gallery,
"A Taste of Art", featuring his Silhouettes. More of his works are
currently being displayed at two other Tribeca art spaces. Outside
of New York, Peter and Tommy were recently invited to be showcased
at The Beaver Creek Arts Festival in Colorado.
Their art dealer is presently working on plans for
their art to be shown in Japan and Miami Beach, Florida. A book of
Peter's photography of Mr. Tune's life is in the process of being
assembled for publication in the near future.

I look at everything through the eyes of beauty. I am
intrigued by the simplest object. A bottle, a blackened silhouette
of a person. I paint images of things I love. I paint for my
soul. I have a studio in lower Manhattan just blocks from all the
sadness. I keep my windows wide open blasting Broadway show tunes
and painting the night away.
